About Meghan

Meghan Makena is the founder of The Amba Method and creator of Embodied Woman, an inside-out body transformation rooted in neuroscience, somatics, and bio-intelligence.

She's worked with women who can't get their minds off of food, who feel like they're living two lives — the one people see and the one they're ashamed of. Many have been told they just need more willpower, when what they actually need is someone to show them how to come home to their bodies.

After healing her own 20-year battle with food — starting at age five — and losing 65 pounds without diets or obsession, Meghan has devoted her life to helping women find this same freedom.

Common Questions

How much time does this require? I'm already so busy.
The core weekly commitment is about 2–3 hours: one live group call plus your daily practice (starting at just 20 minutes). Most women find the time they "gain back" from not obsessing about food far exceeds the time they invest.
What if I can't make the live calls?
Every session is recorded and available within 24 hours. Many women watch replays and still experience profound transformation. You also get 12 months of access to all materials.
Will this send me back into restriction and food rules?
This is the opposite of diet culture. No meal plans, no macros, no "good" or "bad" foods. Alpha addresses why you reach for food when you're not hungry through nervous system work and embodiment — the opposite of external rules.
Is weight loss part of this?
Alpha isn't a weight loss program, but many women naturally release weight as a byproduct of healing their relationship with food. When you stop stress eating and start nourishing from the inside out, your body often comes into its natural balance.
I've tried everything and nothing has worked. What if I fail again?
